Last night of the Proms Concert 2010 – Ferneham Hall, Fareham

Proms Concert Fernham HallSaturday 9th October 2010 was a memorable evening when Spinnaker Brass (supported by Lucketts Travel) performed their first `Last Night of The Proms` concert in Ferneham Hall, Fareham, ably conducted and humorously compared by MD Gordon Leask. Additionally the Band were accompanied by The Fareham Philharmonic Choir and Soloist Becky Parvin.

The concert encompassed many pieces of music and choruses from box office hits, but not exclusively, for example “My Fair Lady”, “Dr Zhivago”, and “West Side Story”, along with memorable pieces such as as “Puppet on a String”, “Never on a Sunday”, “High on a Hill” and “I will follow Him” featuring the Trombone Trio.  Needles to say no Proms concert would be complete without the audience rousing “Jerusalem” and “Rule Britannia”, led by Soloist Becky Parvin.

The concert was performed in aid of charity with the proceeds going to The Mayor of Fareham`s Charity `Toe in the Water` (A charity for injured servicemen referred from Headley Court). The evening was an immense success, setting the stage for this to be an annual event at Ferneham Hall supporting the future Mayors of Fareham and their respective charities.
